Fares

ACTION recommends the Daily Ticket which you can buy from any bus driver as you board the bus, or from any ACTION ticket agent, including the Canberra Visitors Centre. The daily ticket provides you with unlimited travel on all of ACTION's bus services for the entire day. The Off-Peak Daily ticket is also a real bargain providing discount travel for everyone during off-peak times (9.00 am - 4.30 pm and after 6.00 pm Monday to Friday and all day on weekends and public holidays). Purchase your Off-Peak Daily tickets on the bus. Alternatively, you can purchase cash fares. Individual timetable leaflets for all routes are available free of charge from ACTION bus interchanges and most news agencies. You may also like to pick up a copy of ACTION's Canberra Bus Map which displays all of ACTION's services.

In Canberra City, visit the ACTION Information Office located at the between Platforms 1 and 2 of the City Bus Interchange on East Row.

Shopping Centres

There are four major shopping centres in Canberra, connected by ACTION's Intertown Route. All have approximately the same opening hours.

Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5:30pm
Friday: 9am - 9pm
Saturday: 9am - 4pm
Sunday: 10am - 4pm

City

Features the Canberra Centre shopping mall, outdoor eateries, the General Post Office, and a diverse range of retail shops in the area from the 1920's Sydney and Melbourne buildings on each side of Northbourne Avenue, through to Allara Street where the Canberra Casino is located.

Routes by Suburb - City Interchange

Belconnen

Features the Westfield Belconnen Mall, which has tenants including Myers, K-Mart, and the Intencity/Hoyts entertainment centre. The Mall is located adjacent to the Belconnen Bus Interchange, and is connected to the Interchange via the overhead walkway. The Mall is located next to Lake Ginninderra.

Woden

Features Woden Shoppingtown and the Hoyts Cinema. Woden Shoppingtown's tenants include David Jones, Big W and Harvey Norman. The Woden Bus Interchange is located adjacent to the Shoppingtown.

Woden Shoppingtown is approximately 10km south of the City.

Tuggeranong

The Tuggeranong Hyperdome is South Canberra's retail mall, tenants include Myers and K-Mart.
