To Load Your Bike

If the bike rack is full passengers may wait for the next Intertown bus (300 series). Intertown buses operate every 5 to 10 minutes during peak times Monday to Friday and every 20 minutes on weekends.

You are responsible for loading, securing and removing your bike from the bike rack.

Here's how it works:

1. Remove all loose items from the bike before the bus arrives (e.g. flags, water bottles, bags, bike pumps, baby seats, helmets).

2. Your bike must be loaded from the bus-stop side only. Do not step out into the traffic.

4. If a passenger getting off the bus wants to remove their bike, please let them do so before loading your bike.

5. If the bike rack is up, squeeze the handle on the top to lower the rack.

6. Place the wheels in the trough, with the front wheel toward the spring-loaded bar.

7. Raise the spring-loaded bar up and over the front tyre and place it on top of the tyre close to the frame, ensuring the bike is secure.

8. If a bike is already in the front trough, load your bike in the rear trough with your handlebars in the opposite direction to the front bike.

9. Board the bus and pay your fare or validate your ticket.
