Commuter Bus Driver - Now Recruiting Bus Drivers

Are you interested in becoming an ACTION bus driver? Applications are now being sought for employment as a commuter bus driver.

ACTION is currently recruiting commuter bus drivers for

• Casual Weekend bus driver positions

Applicants should possess:

• Strong customer service skills & experience
• Ability to communicate with Canberra's diverse community
• Ability to meet ACTION's employment requirements
• A full motor vehicle licence (not an 'L' or 'Prov' licence)
• 20 years of age or over, and possess or have the ability to obtain a drivers licence Condition "O" or recognised equivalent
• Available to work as required within a seven-day week involving predominantly night work

Conditions of Employment

Conditions of Employment at ACTION Buses are setout in ACTION's docs/CertfiedAgreementFinal2007-2010. The EBA is also available through the contact officer. To be eligible for ongoing employment, applicants must be Australian citizens, have permanent residence status.

Applicants for positions within ACTION may be required to successfully complete a fitness and flexibility assessment, a comprehensive medical examination, a psychometric test and a police character check.
